Inpatient Stay
For inpatient treatment, you need a physician’s hospitalisation letter. This letter may be from a referring physician or a physician from one of our outpatient clinics. After an emergency, you may be taken from the Emergency Department to a ward.
What should you bring for your stay?
- Health insurance card
- Hospitalisation letter from your physician or specialist
- Preoperative tests and laboratory studies results
- Important reports, findings and X-rays from your physician, specialist or from previous hospital visits
- Details of current medications
- If relevant, documentations and records of blood coagulation disorders, allergies, diabetes and pacemakers, etc.
What should you pack?
- Toiletries
- Nightwear
- Robe and slippers
- Comfortable clothes e.g. training suit
- Books, magazines, MP3 players, games, writing paper, etc. for entertainment
Please leave valuables, large amounts of cash and mobile phones at home (see also Telephone ). Because space is limited, your suitcase should not be too big and preferably foldable.
Before any operation please discuss your current medications with the doctor in charge.
